Frequently Asked Questions.

How do I schedule classes?

Once you register for a tutoring package and make an initial payment, ARCO will reach out to you via email to schedule your classes. Classes are either booked directly via email, during slow seasons OR via a registration link, during peak seasons. If a registration link is being used, it will be sent to you weekly.

Can I schedule a standing class?

Yes, it is possible to schedule a standing or recurring class at the same date and time every week. This hour will be held for you unless you cancel it at least 24 hours in advanced. If you miss your standing class without 24h cancellation notice, it will be counted as a missed class.

What happens if I miss a class?

The first time you miss a class, it's a freebie and we’ll remind you of our class attendance policy. Any missed classes after the first will be deducted from your class package.

What happens if I am late to a class?

ARCO follows the same rule that many colleges and universities follow: we’ll wait 15 minutes for you to arrive to class. If you are more than 15 minutes late, it will be considered a missed class.

Why didn’t you answer my email?

ARCO is a small operation! Email is the best way to contact us, but we do reserve a 2-business day turn around time.

Can parents contact ARCO?

Yes! We love parents to be involved in their students’ college preparation process, which is why every package we offer includes built in parent phone calls. Otherwise, though, it is imperative that students lead their own college application process. For this reason, the majority of communication will fall directly on the student.

What are some best practices for students going through the college application process?

Everything for the college application goes through email! ARCO communication mirrors this communication method, too. We suggest that students check their email at least once a day. If you email address is not professional (we suggest some combination of first name and last name, for example JohnDoe@gmail.com) OR if you will be annoyed by having your college emails coming to your personal email address, we suggest making a separate account just for college applications!
